𝐌𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐒 & 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

I came across a PPT presentation by a Christian Zionist.
One particular page caught my attention, and I felt the need to give an answer for those who may be influenced by such propaganda.
I call it: “𝐌𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐒 & 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒” 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀.

1️⃣ “𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 = 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 → 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞. 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥.”
Answer:
Biblically, “Zion” was never a blanket guarantee for ethnic Jews regardless of covenant faithfulness. The land covenant in the Old Testament -Deut. 28; Lev. 26- was conditional on obedience to Yahweh. Israel’s repeated rebellion and rejection of God’s prophets , ultimately rejecting the Messiah Himself -Luke 19:41-44- , resulted in judgment, exile, and loss of the covenant land privileges.
The prophetic return in Scripture is always tied to repentance and faith in the Messiah -Ezek. 36:24-28; Jer. 31:31-34. The modern Zionist movement (1890s–present) was a secular nationalist project led mostly by atheistic or agnostic Jews, not a covenantal restoration by God. Calling it “indigenous rights” while it involved displacement and oppression of Palestinians mirrors classic colonial patterns, regardless of ancestry.

“Not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel.” – Romans 9:6

2️⃣ “𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐬 → 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞. 𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲.”
Answer:
Modern political Zionism has consistently prioritized Jewish ethno-national dominance over equal rights. Even Israel’s own laws (e.g., the 2018 “Nation-State Law”- enshrine Jewish superiority in land rights, language, and governance over non-Jews. While not every Zionist “hates” non-Jews personally, the political structure is rooted in ethnic preference and exclusion, which Scripture condemns -Exod. 23:9; Acts 10:34-35-.
From a biblical standpoint, the true Zion is not an ethnically exclusive political entity but the people of God in Christ - made up of Jews and Gentiles united by faith -Gal. 3:28-29; Eph. 2:14-16.
Any ideology that elevates one ethnic group’s political control as divinely sanctioned while ignoring justice and mercy directly contradicts God’s character (Micah 6:8).

3️⃣ “𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 = 𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐢 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 → 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬.”
Answer:
This is a false separation. Modern Zionism is inherently political - it is not just about “existence” but about statehood, borders, military control, and governance. The Bible never commands Christians to defend the policies of a secular state simply because it calls itself “Israel.”
The right to exist biblically applies to all peoples, including Palestinians, who are also created in the image of God - Gen. 1:27 and have lived in the land for generations.
The New Testament redefines the “chosen people” as those in Christ, not an ethnic-political state -1 Pet. 2:9-10; Phil. 3:3-. For Christians to equate God’s eternal kingdom promises with the survival of a secular government is to confuse the Gospel with geopolitics - something Jesus explicitly avoided (John 18:36).
